My life's tapestry is woven with the vibrant threads of two diverse cultures. A native of Laos, I immigrated to the United States with my family, cementing my identity as the youngest of eight siblings. My Midwestern upbringing amidst this energetic family instilled in me a profound appreciation for unity, resilience, and joy in life's simplest moments.

Physical health and activity are my steadying forces—a testament to their symbiotic relationship with mental health. Whether I'm humorously grappling with golf, cycling, or keeping pace in Houston's vibrant cityscape, these moments ground me and remind me of life’s balance.

Educational Journey A Therapist

Challenging familial norms, I harbored aspirations beyond the expectations of becoming another engineer in my family. In 1997, I became a proud graduate of the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, earning a Master's in Interpersonal Practice. My training centered on an integrated approach to mental health care, connecting the physical, mental, and behavioral facets to forge paths toward comprehensive healing.

Professional Calling


My career started in 1998, originally focused on enriching the lives of children, teens, and their families. The subsequent years have only deepened my expertise and passion for fostering intergenerational growth and healing.
